Cidercone's History

Cidercone was founded in 2000 by its current CEO Tuomas Kohila. He is still the largest owner of the firm. The other owners are company employees and members of its Board of Directors. This ensures independence in managing and developing the company.

Cidercone’s business idea is to develop wireless solutions for business critical processes for large and medium sized companies in selected industries.

The company started out as a vendor of customised mobile and intranet solutions to businesses on a project basis. Its solid customer relationships developed over the years with major Finnish companies still bear fruit today.

Since 2002, Cidercone has provided an information management system for laboratory environments. This product line has achieved international success across Europe and is used now in several well-known institutions, such as the University of Zürich and Karoliska Institute in Sweden.
